Welcome to Posey Canyon Parson Russell Terriers
Posey Canyon Kennel is located on
eight acres among the fruit orchards in the rolling foothills of the rugged Cascade
Mountains, and about two miles outside the lovely Bavarian town of Leavenworth, Washington.
I am Jennifer Johnston and I have been breeding
Parson Russell Terriers since 1994. I have bred many top winning dogs in the conformation ring
including the 2008 Parson National Specialty winner. Quite a few of these dogs have gone on to
produce top winning offspring. Posey Canyon Terriers are title holders in performance events such
as earthdog, rally and obedience. Several have been inducted into the PRTAA Conformation Hall of Fame
and numerous terriers hold Registry of Merit titles, including the only sire/son to hold the highest
available Breeders Registry of Merit Outstanding Title.
I am a member in good standing with the Parson Russell Terrier
Association of America. I have served on PRTAA Board of Directors as Treasurer, and on a number of committees.
I recently collaborated with a few breeders to create an educational CD on the Parson Russell Terrier. I had the
honor of being awarded the 2007 Versatile Breeder of The Year. I exhibit my terriers at many local AKC Conformation
shows and travel to Pennsylvania each year to attend the Parson Russell Terrier National Specialty.
It is my goal to breed a quality Parson Russell Terrier that comes as close to the ideal
described in the breed standard. Foremost I want to produce companion Terriers that are healthy in body and mind.
A puppy is a long time commitment and we will do everything to help you develop a wonderful relationship with your
Parson Russell Terrier.
